The 2020 Kawasaki Jet Ski lineup has been unveiled and the big news is the popular STX160 has been redesigned with some important updates.
The Kawaski STX160 has been Kawasaki’s entry level PWC for years, but it has been getting a little long in the tooth. At the forefront of the changes is a brand new fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) hull, which includes an integrated floating cell structure. Other hull updates include a high-performance keel line, a bumper that extends around the entire circumference, large rear boarding platform, automatic siphon bilge system, and fins installed at the bottom of the bumper that are designed to provide straight-line stability.
Styling also gets an update for the new model year. The hull height has been raised and the riding position made more relaxed for added comfort. Kawasaki also boasts that its new seat is more comfortable than ever before. Kawasaki has left the 1498cc engine largely alone, as the 16-valve, parallel four-cylinder mill is already the most powerful in its class. One change related to the engine is the addition of cruise control. This system allows the driver to set the engine speed and lock it in.

Prices start at $9,599.
As for the rest of the 2020 Kawasaki Jet Ski lineup, it includes the Jet Ski SX-R stand-up craft ($9,999), along with the Ultra line, which includes the Ultra 310LX ($17,999), Ultra 310R ($16,299), Ultra 310X ($15,299), and the Ultra LX ($11,199).
